Why Make A Wish WNY?
Shortly after I opened on Elmwood Ave in 2014, my then 5 year old niece was diagnosed with Leukemia and immediately started treatment at Children’s Hospital. During treatment Grace Audrey was referred to and contacted by Make A Wish WNY to have her wish granted. Her Wish Granter came to the house, took the time to get to know Grace and her family and after several wish options she chose to go to Disney World to have a Princess Makeover. My family is forever grateful to Make A Wish for helping her forget her illness and to be a kid again, even if just for a week. It’s an experience she’ll never forget, and I’m thrilled to say she’s now a healthy and happy 13-year-old!
As the Holidays approach, there are other local kids like Grace battling illnesses they should never have to bear, and I hope we can help make their wishes come true!
